THE DAVID ROY COELL SCHOLARSHIP

A $1,000 annual scholarship has been established by the firm in memory of our founder, David Roy Coell (1926-2000). The scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student with interest in Urban Land Economics in the B. Comm program at the University of British Columbia (www.commerce.ubc.ca).

David Coell was an Accredited Appraiser of the Canadian Institute (AACI) and a Professional Member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia RI (BC). He was a Provincial Assessor prior to founding D. R. Coell & Associates Inc. in 1974. Mr. Coell served on many tribunals, including the Assessment Appeal Board.

In addition to his career in appraisal Mr. Coell was very active in the service community. He served forty years with the Canadian Forces Army Reserve, retiring in the rank of Brigadier General. He was also active in St. John's Ambulance and was Knighted by them for his service.
